After four years of development, Sunline recently launched Asegai, a braid featuring the patented Xplasma technology that significantly enhances smoothness, abrasion resistance, and water repellency. Fluidity and smoothness are improved by 370% and 260%, respectively, compared to our conventional braided lines.

The Xplasma process also enhances Asegai's hydrophobic capabilities by over 240% compared to our standard braided lines, allowing for longer casts and reduced freezing in guides and reels in cold weather. Some of the world's best braided line anglers like Aaron Martens, Brent Ehrler, Brett Hite, Jason Christie, Todd Faircloth, and Dean Rojas all contributed to its development. Asegai is a premium Japanese PE eight-strand braid with a tight weave surface. It's available in two colors, dark green and light green, for better visibility.
